Mahilpur, (March 4) - The 647th birth anniversary of Guru Satguru Ravidas Maharaj was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm on March 5 at Gurudwara Satguru Ravidas Maharaj, village Chandeli, due to the full cooperation of all the residents of Sri Guru Ravidas Yuva Parishad, village Chandeli. Giving information in this regard, committee chairman Hauldar Mohan Lal, Master Surinder Kumar and committee members said that on this occasion, Shri Akhand Path will be offered first. After this, Ragi Singh will connect the devotees with the humanitarian ideology of Satguru Ravidas Maharaj through Katha Kirtan. He said that today a huge Nagar Kirtan was taken out from Gurudwara Sahib. In the city kirtan, Sant Bibi Meena Devi Ji Dera Ratanpuri Jejo Doaba, Sant Ramesh Das Ji Director Dera Sant Baba Narayan Das Ji Sherpur Kalran, President Mohan Lal, Rajesh Kumar, Bhajan Lal Secretary, Rajneesh Kumar, Contractor Amarjeet, Sandeep Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, A large number of villagers including Sarabjit Singh JE, Master Surinder Singh, Bhajan Lal Petar, Mani Ram, Amarjeet Singh, Nimmo, Kamaljeet, Saroj, Baljinder Kaur Sarpanch, Rani Panchayat members were present. This Nagar Kirtan started from Chandeli village and reached Khanpur village, where Gurudwara Singh Sabha Committee served langar of juice to the devotees. Similarly, at Gurudwara Satguru Ravidas Maharaj the committee organized langar of tea and pakodas and Lovely Cloth House under the supervision of Kulwinder Singh distributed cold drinks and other food items to the devotees along with calendars having pictures of Guru Sahib Ji. Harjinder Singh Nangal, Swami Rajinder Rana, Kukku Baba, Baljinder Singh, Gulshan Kumar, Parvinder, Kulwinder Kaur, Lovepreet Kaur, Babbu Contractor, Davinder Bahowal etc. were present on this occasion. After this, the city kirtan reached village Ghumyala, where the management committees of Guru Ghars distributed fruit prasad to the devotees. Similarly, on reaching Candowal village, the villagers warmly welcomed the Sangat and provided food and drinks to the Sangat. Members of the organizing committee told that in the night, Saint Baba Satnam Das Mahdood connected the devotees to the feet of Satguru Ravidas Maharaj Ji by performing various kirtans. On this occasion, he requested all the Sangats living in the village and area to attend this function and enjoy the happiness of Guru Ghar. Guru ka langar is being served continuously during the event.
