The competition organized in the college showcased the depth of knowledge and enthusiasm among the engineering students. Students discussed a range of topics from technological advancements to societal impacts, providing a broad overview of the current state of affairs in the engineering field.
Dr. Jatinder Kumar, Head of the Engineering Department expressed his excitement about the event and said, "It is important for our students to stay abreast of the latest trends in engineering. Students presented their insights on the need for electric vehicles, information, 5G technology, future of engineering and many other topics in the speech competition. The judging panel consisted of Dr Ranjit Singh, Prof Lakhveer Sodhi and Asst Prof Shalinder Singh as members who evaluated the participants based on content, presentation skills and ability to address questions.
The winners were announced after a rigorous evaluation process. Parul, the first place winning student, gave an outstanding speech on the need for electric vehicles in today's era. Second and third place was secured by Manish Singh and Sahil Kumar, who discussed blockchain's potential in revolutionizing supply chain management and the environmental impact of emerging transportation technologies, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director Dr. Arshdeep Singh while sharing his views said that the Engineering Department will continue to organize such events in the future to promote the culture of innovation and intellectual development among its students. Meanwhile, Assistant Prof. Parvinder Singh, Prof. Sukhjinder Singh, Prof. Dalveer Singh, Assistant Prof. Ramandeep Kaur and other staff members were present.
