In this regard, issuing instructions to the officials of various departments, Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Parai said that a micro plan of the district has been prepared to give pulse polio drops to every child between 0 to 5 years of age and each department should do its duty diligently. asked to perform with so that this big task can be carried out successfully. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also released a poster of Pulse Polio Awareness.
In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pari instructed the SMOs of the district to identify the families with temporary accommodation in their area so that their children up to 5 years of age can be covered. He said that the Panchayat Department in the villages and the Health Department should make sure to make announcements about Pulse Polio at bus stands, railway stations etc. by contacting the relevant departments.
During the meeting, Civil Surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur gave information about the action plan and said that to make the pulse polio campaign successful, 1844 teams of the health department will apply pulse polio drops and 25 mobile teams will be deployed at different places of the district such as kilns, roadside laborers. In doing so, children will be administered polio drops at farmhouses, factories and other public places while 32 transit teams will administer pulse polio drops at bus stands, railway stations, temples and shrines. He said that 194 supervisors have also been appointed to supervise these teams.
District Vaccination Officer Dr. Gurpreet Kaur said that under this campaign, 922 booths will be built in the district on March 3. And those children who will be deprived of drinking medicine on Sunday for some reason On March 4 and 5, 1844 teams of health departments will go to their homes and administer polio drops.
