Chandigarh- Chandigarh Congress today strongly condemned the BJP for making undesirable and derogatory comments by some of its leaders with an intent to demean the valour and valour of the Indian Army.
Chandigarh Congress Chief Spokesperson Rajiv Sharma alleged that the highly condemnable statement made by Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora that the Indian Army should bow down before Modi was deliberate and made with the tacit approval of the top leadership of the BJP.
Because the BJP wants to use the valour and sacrifices of the Army for its political gains and to enhance the image of Prime Minister Modi. The Congress Spokesperson said that one after another BJP leader is making ridiculous statements about the Defence Forces of India with the aim of garnering votes for the BJP in the forthcoming elections.
He said that while the whole world is praising the Indian Army for defeating the masters of terrorism, the BJP and its leaders are trying to belittle the war skills and strategic planning shown by the country's defense forces recently.
Meanwhile, the workers of the Minority Department of Chandigarh Congress have sent a memorandum to the President of India Draupadi Murmu through the Deputy Commissioner Chandigarh and strongly criticized the derogatory remarks made by BJP leader Ajay Shah against Colonel Sofia Qureshi of the Indian Army.
Minority Department Chairman Ahmed Ali Salmani and Chandigarh Congress General Secretary Zahid Parvez Khan have demanded the immediate dismissal of Ajay Shah from the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet for this inappropriate comment.
