Chandigarh 25th February,2024 - The Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi, alongside Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri. Mansukh Mandavya dedicated the Mobile Food Testing Laboratory to the Union Territory of Chandigarh via virtual mode from a function held at Rajkot. Member Parliament Smt. Kirron Kher, flagged off the Mobile Food Testing Lab. alongwith Shri Rajeev Verma, IAS, Advisor to Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh Smt. Kirron Kher, extended heartfelt thanks to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi for dedicating the Mobile Food Testing Lab to the U.T. of Chandigarh, highlighting the benefits citizens will now enjoy with access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology. 

 Shri. Rajeev Verma, Advisor to Administrator, conveyed his appreciation to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi for dedicating this technology for the benefit of Chandigarh's citizens. He applauded the dedication and determination of the Food Safety department, U.T. Chandigarh, for their exemplary performance in raising awareness about safe food practices, conducting testing, providing training, and achieving the best performance in the country in the National Food Safety Index. 

 The event was graced by the presence of Shri. Ajay Chagti, Secretary Health-cum-Commissioner Food Safety, Director Health Service and other officials of the Chandigarh Administration. With the inauguration of this cutting-edge facility, Chandigarh takes a significant step towards safeguarding public health and fostering consumer trust in the food supply chain.
