
Conducted training courses to prepare cleaning products for domestic hygiene
Nawanshahr - Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, Langroa, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar organized a vocational training course on 'Making cleaning products for household hygiene' at KVK, in which 33 trainees participated.
Nawanshahr - Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, Langroa, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar organized a vocational training course on 'Making cleaning products for household hygiene' at KVK, in which 33 trainees participated.
During this training programme, the trainees were given detailed information about preparation of cleaning products for household hygiene through group discussion method. Demonstrator, Home Science, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Langaroa, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Mrs. Renu Bala welcomed the students from the center. In this training course, he explained the importance of cleaning products in domestic hygiene, how people are aware of domestic hygiene and these products are in great demand in the market. Assistant Professor (Home Science), Dr. Rajinder Kaur said that we can prepare all these cleaning products at home. He taught the students how to make dishwashing liquids, furnels and cloths by hand. Along with this, samples of each product were also provided to each trainee so that the trainees could see the difference between the quality of market and handmade products. This training covered everything from product preparation to packaging and labeling.
During the same campaign, an educational visit was also organized for the trainees to the 'Aatman Udyog' unit, which is established at village Bika (Block :Banga), and manufactures chemical free bath soap. The owners of this industry, Mrs. Rachpal Kaur Sandhu and Archana Shah informed the learners about the struggle of the 'Aatman Udyog' unit to be operational since 2011. He shared with the students the complete process of making chemical free bath soap, which is done by hand without any machine in the mold and the whole process of packaging. Along with this, he also explained the method of obtaining license for the sale of these soaps.
Associate Director (Training), Dr. Maninder Singh Bounce also interacted with the trainees. He highlighted the importance of supporting businesses and thanked them for participating in this training and also appealed to the future to also participate in the future development programs of this centre.
