Nawanshahr, February 08, 2024:- As part of Punjab Government's initiative of Chief Minister Punjab S. Bhagwant Maan ji and meetings with Punjabi NRIs drawn across the state with the migrant Punjabi Indians, five districts Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Rupnagar, Jalandhar, Kapurthala and SAS Urban Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal will participate in the meeting program with NRIs related to the city on February 9 at Shiwalik Public School District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and listen to the problems of NRIs.
Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa (IAS) reviewed the arrangements being made at Shivalik Public School. SSP Dr. Akhil Chaudhary, Additional Deputy Commissioner (c) Rajeev Verma, SDM Dr. Akshita Gupta, Assistant Commissioner General Gurleen Kaur and officials of various departments were present with him on this occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the purpose of these meetings is to resolve the problems and complaints faced by the Indian diaspora in Punjab. He said that the NRI meeting will be inaugurated by the Minister of NRI Affairs Department, Sardar Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal. NRIs from five districts Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Rupnagar, Jalandhar, Kapurthala and SAS Nagar will participate in this event.
He has appealed to the migrant Punjabi Indians belonging to the said districts to reach Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar to participate in this meeting. He said that registration counters will be set up for the migrant Punjabis there, on the spot. On this occasion, the duties of the district officials of various departments have been assigned to successfully implement the above program.
