This league was jointly inaugurated by Gurdev Singh Gill Arjun Awardee Vice President Punjab Football Association, Jarnail Singh District President Football Association, Vijay Bali Joint Secretary All India Football Association and Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder. Addressing the players on this occasion, Gurdev Singh Gill Arjun Awardee said that the efforts being made by the sports department to encourage girls towards sports are commendable. District president Jarnail Singh Palli Jhikki said that the winning team of this league will be awarded Rs 50,000 and the runner-up will be awarded Rs 30,000 and the West player will be honored with the jerseys of the Indian team. Satvir Singh Palli Jhikki, senior leader and former chairman of the District Planning Board, congratulated all the organizers for this initiative. Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder said that this league will be held till February 28. The inaugural match was between teams from Jindowal and Musapur. On this occasion, Sarpanch Lakhvir Singh Chowdhury Sant Ram, Amarjit Singh Pooni, Numdar Amrik Singh, Technical Coordinator Hardeep Singh, Prof. Gurpreet Singh, National Referee Satvir Singh, Lecturer Amritpal Singh, Lecturer Manwinder Singh and Raunki Singh were also present.
