
Three-day FDP on Human Values successfully concluded in Chandigarh
Chandigarh- The three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Universal Human Values sponsored by AICTE concluded with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm at Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh. Organized from July 23 to July 25, 2025, the FDP was a significant step towards enriching the academic community with the core principles and holistic perspective of human values in education.
Chandigarh- The three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Universal Human Values sponsored by AICTE concluded with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm at Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh. Organized from July 23 to July 25, 2025, the FDP was a significant step towards enriching the academic community with the core principles and holistic perspective of human values in education.
The valedictory session was graced by Prof. Manu Sharma, Founder Coordinator and Core Team Member, Universal Human Values Cell, Panjab University, Chandigarh and a respected faculty member of UIET, Panjab University, who served as the Chief Guest. Prof. Sharma, in his address, emphasized on the important role of educators in nurturing value-based education and shaping responsible citizens. He appreciated the initiative of the college in organizing the FDP and encouraged continuous efforts in integrating value education in the curriculum.
The FDP witnessed active participation of faculty members and resource persons. Mr. Resource Person Ajay Pal and Co-facilitator Dr. Manisha Gupta were thanked for their insightful sessions, as well as Dr. Yashveer, who served as an observer for the programme.
Dr. Sapna Nanda, Principal, Government College of Education, thanked all the speakers, guests and participants for their valuable contributions. She reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to promote holistic education as per the National Education Policy 2020, highlighting universal human values as a cornerstone for transformative teaching and learning.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Organized by Shioji Singh and Dr. Nisha Singh, the event covered a wide range of topics and approaches to instill a sense of empathy, honesty, responsibility, and interconnectedness among humans. The sessions included group discussions, experiential learning, and reflective exercises that resonated deeply with the participants.
