Nawanshahr - Babasaheb Dr. BR Ambedkar Society Reg. Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala, in celebration of the implementation of the Constitution of India, the Worker Club of West Colony of RCF organized a seminar dedicated to the 75th Republic Day/Constitution Day. Which was presided over by Hon'ble Shri Lal Viswash SDM Kapurthala Missionary writer Shri Chaman Lal Chankoa, Deputy Commandant RPF Shri Narendra Kumar and Society President Krishna Lal Jasal etc. jointly. Acting as the moderator, General Secretary Dharam Pal Panther said that from time to time the society organizes think tanks to create awareness in the society. It is celebrated to inform the common people about the Indian Constitution and to explain its importance. The function was started by Mr. Puran Singh, President of Lord Buddha Education Trust, who recited the motto of the Constitution of India. On this auspicious occasion, the chief guest Shri Lal Viswash congratulated the audience on Indian Constitution Day and said that 26 January 1950 is a golden day for the people of India. On this day the Constitution of India came into force and India was declared a fully republican state. Republic Day is a symbol of national unity and integrity. Shri Vishwas said that Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar had said that education is the milk of a lioness, whoever drinks it will roar. The future of children is in the hands of parents. The children will be like the kind of thinking they instill in the children. Besides singing the praises of Babasaheb ji, we should also put into practice the teachings given by him. In the end, he said that parents should make arrangements to give proper education to their children so that children can make their valuable contribution to the betterment of the society and the progress of the country by reading and writing. The chief speaker of the event and thinker of Bahujan Samaj Mr. Chaman Lal Chankoa said that since the day of Republic Day every person has got equal right to vote whether he is rich or poor. Thanks to the Indian Constitution, a society deprived of human rights for thousands of years has got the honor to join the mainstream of the country. Today, day by day, blind faith, ritualism, casteism and communalism are increasing in the country. Which will have dangerous consequences in the future. Citizen's freedom of expression is being eliminated. Of course, the people of India are celebrating their 75th Republic Day today, but the India of the constitution makers' dreams did not materialize. There was not much change in the arrangement either. The governments of our country have turned democracy into dictatorship. The consequences of which will be fatal in the near future. Later Deputy Commandant Mr. Narinder Kumar while addressing said that the Indian Constitution is being insulted by the activities and beliefs going on in the name of religion in the society. Of course we live in the age of science, but our thinking is unconstitutional. If we want to take the country to greater heights, we have to change our mindset. In order to strengthen the children of the society literarily, competitions were organized on Dr. Ambedkar's message book by Prabuddh Bharat Sansthans. The contestants from different villages of RCF who participated in this competition and scored more than 50% marks were awarded with mementos and Rs.250/- in cash. On this occasion, a missionary poet court was also held. In which poets Shri Ranjit Sapna, Abrar Ansari, Jhalman Singh, Jaspal Chauhal, Raj Kumar Prajapati, Dharam Pal Panther etc. presented poems dedicated to the life and mission of Bahujan greats.
