
Athletics honored Vivek Sharma who won the national gold medal in the 100m race
SAS Nagar, January 17 - The amputee Vivek Sharma, who won a gold medal in the 100m race at the national level in athletics, was today felicitated by Shiromani Akali Dal constituency Mohali Chief Sevadar Parvinder Singh Sohana, the committee of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan Sohana and Honored by the residents of Sohana.

On this occasion, Parvinder Singh Sohana demanded from the Punjab government that such youth should be given government jobs immediately and their courage should be increased. It may be mentioned that Vivek Sharma is a resident of Sohana and has recently won gold medal in 100m race at the National Games at Goa.
Mr. Sohana said that Vivek Sharma belongs to a simple family and is a native of village Sohana. He said that it is a matter of great pride that Vivek Sharma, despite being an amputee, did not give up and was successful in winning the national gold medal in the sport of athletics, especially in the 100m race. He said that this player and his family are under-appreciated.
On this occasion, he especially demanded from the BJP government at the center and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give maximum help to youth like Vivek Sharma. And Vivek Sharma should be given a government job so that his morale can increase and he can establish a record at the international level which will be a matter of pride for our country as well.
On this occasion Harjinder Singh Pradhan Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan Committee, Harvinder Singh Namdar Narinder Singh Kang sports promoter and other dignitaries were present.
