Deputy Speaker distributed grant checks of 36.40 lakhs to various villages of Garhshankar Constituency.

Garhshankar - Deputy Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan is committed to the all-round development of villages and under this the work is continuing on a war footing. He said that for the development of every village in the state, the Punjab government is conducting development work by issuing grants without any discrimination. So that the residents of the villages can also be provided facilities like cities.

He said that grants worth crores of rupees have also been issued for the villages of Garhshankar constituency, with which the face of the constituency is going to change. He was addressing the residents of the area while handing over checks of grants for development works to various villages of Garhshankar Assembly Constituency. Meanwhile, he went to 10 villages of the constituency and handed over grant checks of Rs. 36.40 lakhs, in which Rs. 2 lakhs were given to village Bagwain, Rs. 6 lakhs to Panam, Rs. 8 lakhs and 40 thousand to Nangal, Rs. 2 lakhs to Chak Phulu, Checks of 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees were included to Kukkar Majara, 2 lakh rupees to Chak Hajipur, 2 lakh rupees to Shahpur, 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees to Chak Raut, 4 lakh rupees to village Mehtabpur and 5 lakh rupees to village Kullewal.
He said that no shortage of grants will be allowed to the villages for development works. He said that important efforts are being made by the state government keeping in mind the interests of each section and those who have been yearning for basic facilities during the previous governments, their every need is being met in a systematic manner. Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker also heard the problems of the concerned villages and directed the concerned officials to solve them as soon as possible. On this occasion, apart from BDPO Manjinder Kaur, officers of various departments and other dignitaries were also present.
