Hoshiarpur - Naib Tehsildar Gurpreet Singh spread awareness about eye donation in Tehsil Tanda. Naib Tehsildar Gurpreet Singh told about the importance of eye donation in the presence of eye donor in-charge Bhai Barinder Singh Masiti during the ongoing campaign under eye donation awareness fortnight.
He said that eyes should be donated after death so that the life of a blind person can be enlightened. He said that anyone can donate eyes after death. Therefore, a vote-paper has to be filed first. Anyone's eyes can be donated 6 to 8 hours after death. One person's eyes can light up two people's lives. He said that we should take a pledge for eye donation and motivate our relatives as much as possible in this regard.
On this occasion, Bhai Masiti said that donating eyes is a sacred act and we should take a firm resolve to donate eyes while alive. These eyes can be fitted to any blind person. That man can see this world. A man's eyes live on even after death and he can see this beautiful world even after death.
