Hoshiarpur- Lions Club Hoshiarpur Pearl Region Chairman Lion Harjit Singh Bhatia celebrated his birthday at Government High School Bhagowal. On this occasion, he distributed shoes and socks to 30 children and celebrated his birthday by planting 20 saplings in the school premises.
On this occasion, club president Lion Vijay Arora and prominent social worker Lion Sanjeev Arora congratulated Lion Harjit Singh Bhatia on his birthday and said that every person should celebrate his happiness by serving the needy and planting saplings. They said that a clean and safe environment is the guarantee of a healthy life and this is our common duty.
Lion Harjit Singh Bhatia, while distributing shoes and socks to the children, said that the Lions Club has been helping needy children since the past and this help will continue in future too, so that no child is deprived of education. He also said that the club and he himself will provide full cooperation along with the department.
The headmistress of the school, Mrs. Rajesh Kumari, thanked the club members who came and said that the Lions Club is engaged in social service with a selfless spirit and hoped that the club will continue to help needy children in the future too.
