Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 5: After the selection of active clubs from across the district by the Directorate of Youth Services Punjab on the orders of Chief Minister Punjab S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, these clubs have been asked to continue social activities at their club level. For this, a grant amount of Rs. 50,000/- per club was released today by Chairman of Punjab Youth Development Board, Parminder Singh Goldi. This grant amount was released to 13 clubs.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 5: After the selection of active clubs from across the district by the Directorate of Youth Services Punjab on the orders of Chief Minister Punjab S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, these clubs have been asked to continue social activities at their club level. For this, a grant amount of Rs. 50,000/- per club was released today by Chairman of Punjab Youth Development Board, Parminder Singh Goldi. This grant amount was released to 13 clubs.
On this occasion, Chairman Parminder Singh Goldi said that it is the primary duty of clubs to protect social values. He asked the youth to take interest in social work at the village level and play a leading role. He asked the clubs to keep the youth away from drugs and encourage them to participate in constructive activities through sports and social service activities. He said that the clubs with good performance were awarded with a total amount of Rs.6,25,000/- today. He said that the Punjab government will give assistance grant amount in future as well. He also appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to participate in the efforts being made to make the state Rangla Punjab.
On this occasion, Sarabjit Singh, current municipal councilor and youth leader, also addressed the youth and assured full support to the youth services department in the future. Harpal Singh Channa Block President and Lucky Nagari Youth Leader were also present on this occasion. Dr. Malkeet Singh Mann, Assistant Director, Youth Services, said that it is a very effective initiative of the Punjab government to issue grants for tournaments, programs, etc. at the village level to keep the youth away from drugs.
On this occasion Youth Services Club Phase-11 Mohali Harpreet Singh, Dr BR Ambedkar Youth Services Club Kharar Dr Raghbir Singh, Youth Services Club Kambala Raghbir Singh, Youth Services Club Bathlana Ranjit Singh, Youth Services Club Fatehgarh, Inderpreet Singh Youth Services Club Machli Kalan Sandeep Kumar, Youth Services Club Navipur Jagjeevan Ram, Youth Services Club Gudana Jagtar Singh, Mohan Singh from Youth Services Club Sotal, President Manpreet Singh from Youth Services Club Rora etc received the checks of the grant amount. Charanjit Kaur Steno and Gurwinder Singh club president etc. were present on this occasion.
