Registration is mandatory for organizations working in the field of children

Patiala, December 27 - District Program Officer, Patiala Pradeep Gill said that organizations working in the field of child welfare under District Patiala which are not registered under the Juvenile Justice Act 2015 must be registered.
Apart from this, he said that non-governmental organizations working in the field of child welfare, which are providing free accommodation, food, education, medical etc. But they are not yet registered under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, such institutions are required to be registered under Section 41 (1) of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 vide Form No. 27 of the Notified JJ Rules. If an NGO working in the field of children is not registered under the Juvenile Justice Act 2015, action will be taken against that organization under Section 42 of the Juvenile Justice Act 2015.
In this regard, the organization should submit the required documents to the District Child Protection Office, Room No. 150, Block-C Extension, Mini Secretariat Patiala as soon as possible or contact the CDPO of the concerned blocks.
