SAS Nagar, December 25 - The management committee of Gurdwara Sacha Dhan Sahib organized Saparpit Nagar Kirtan to commemorate the martyrdom of four Sahibs and Mata Gujar Kaur with the support of local Sangats. Nagar Kirtan started from Gurdwara Sacha Dhan Sahib Phase 3B1 and passed through different phases and ended at Haya Gurdwara Singh Sabha Phase 11 Mohali.
Constituency MLA S. Kulwant Singh, Former Minister S. Balbir Singh Sidhu, Deputy Mayor S. Kuljit Singh Bedi, State Co-Treasurer of BJP S. Sukhwinder Singh Goldi, Akali Leader Simranjit Singh Chandu Majra and Harmanpreet Singh Prince, Gurudwara Coordinating Committee were present at the commencement of Nagar Kirtan. President S. Joginder Singh Saundhi, Senior Vice President S. Manjit Singh Mann, President of Ramgarhia Sabha S. Karam Singh Babra, Pitam Singh, Arjan Singh Shergill, Tarlochan Singh, Advocate Gaganpreet Singh Bains, Balinder Singh, Manna Sandhu, Managing Committee of Gurudwara Sacha Dhan. office bearers, and a large number of Sangats participated.
Bhajan Singh, president of the managing committee of Gurdwara Sacha Dhan Sahib, said that after recitation of Anand Sahib and prayers from Gurdwara Sacha Dhan Sahib, the Nagar Kirtan left under the leadership of Panj Pyara. To welcome the Nagar Kirtan, tea pakodas and Prashad langars were installed by the Sangat at various places for the devotees participating in the Kirtan.
On this occasion, Kulwant Singh said that on the occasion of Shahidi Joad Mela, devotees from all corners of the country and especially from abroad are arriving in large numbers to pay obeisance at the holy land of Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. He said that the father of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, mother Gujar Kaur Ji, son-Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh and elder Sahibzade-Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh were also martyred by the rulers of the time. Gave, but Guru Sahib did not accept it.
