Una 24 December 2023 – The eighth international conference of SOCTA-2023 was inaugurated by Gokul Butail, Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Himachal Pradesh at Indian Institute of Information Technology Una. Professors and researchers from various institutions of North India were present in this international conference related to the theory and application of soft computing. In this conference being organized from 24 to 26 December 2023, various practical aspects related to Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence were highlighted by various speakers.
Gokul Butel, Principal Advisor (Renovation, Digital Technology and Governance) to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, who was present as the chief guest on this occasion, said that during the last decade, there has been unprecedented development in the field of information technology which has not only made the life of the common man easier. Not only has it had a positive impact on the environment, he said that Himachal Pradesh Assembly is the first Assembly in the entire country where paperless work was started and tablets were provided in place of paper on the tables of every assembly member. He said that the Himachal Pradesh government is promoting information technology in the work done through governance and administration and is promoting digitalization in many departments including tourism, transport and mining, which is bringing transparency and dynamism in public welfare works. . He said that Triple IT has a special status in the country and its establishment in Una district has given a special identity to this region as well as Himachal Pradesh. He directed the institute management to connect the residents of the area, educational institutions, industries and industrial organizations with the Triple IT Institute so that they can get an opportunity to know the institute and the institute can work as per the needs of the society and the country.

Provided detailed information to the chief guest about the activities and achievements of the institute. He said that the institute provides training regarding information technology and cyber crime to the employees of the police department of the state government from time to time. He said that the maximum placement among the students coming out of the institute is Rs 65 lakh and the average placement rate is Rs 15 lakh.
On this occasion, Dr. Binod Kumar Kanojia, Director of Triple IT Una and Dr. Vikram Kumar, Assistant Professor and Associate Dean, Dr. PV Suresh, Director (Computer Department) of IGNOU, Dr. Vaibhav Gupta, Senior Technical Officer of DRDO, Dr. Tarun Kumar, Professor of Shobhit Institute were present. Sharma, Dr OP Verma, Assistant Professor from NIT Jalandhar, Uttam Patial, Senior Consultant, Triple IT Una, besides students studying in the institute and many dignitaries were also present.
