68 Panchayats of Una district declared TB free, Deputy Commissioner honored them

Una, October 24 - 68 gram panchayats of Una district have been declared TB free under the National Tuberculosis Elimination (NTEP) Program 2023. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal honored the panchayats in a felicitation ceremony organized in the auditorium of the District Council Una on Thursday. The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the contribution of the Panchayat representatives and presented them with certificates and mementos.

The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the contribution of the Panchayat representatives and presented them with certificates and mementos.
Jatin Lal said that these panchayats have fulfilled the standards of TB free and have worked effectively with the health department teams in identifying potential TB patients and providing them timely treatment. He urged the panchayat representatives to continue their active cooperation in this campaign so that Una district can be declared TB free soon. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to everyone for maximum participation in the TB free campaign being run by the Health Department and emphasized on spreading awareness.
During this, CMO Dr Sanjeev Verma informed that in the National Tuberculosis Eradication (NTEP) Program 2023, the Panchayats have received the bronze medal under TB Free Panchayat. If any of these Panchayats is selected as TB free again in 2024, then it will be awarded with a silver statue and if the Panchayat remains TB free in 2025 also, then it will be awarded with a gold statue. Apart from this, he gave detailed information about this campaign to all the Pradhans present under the Tobacco Free Youth Campaign. He appealed to all the Pradhans present to make as many people as possible aware about the ill effects of tobacco in their respective Panchayats.
