Patiala, 17 - A special meeting of Punjab Prison Department Pensioners Welfare Association was held at Nachhatar Singh Bhavan Bus Stand Moga, in which retired employees from across Punjab participated. All unit committees and retired members were unanimously elected.
President Mahesh Lal Batalvi, Kashmir Singh Thind General Secretary, Kuldeep Singh Isapur Senior Vice President, Kulwant Singh Dhillon Treasurer, Kailash Kumar Assistant Treasurer, Nirmal Singh Vice President, Kulwant Singh Ghali Chief Advisor, Jagmel Singh Advisor, Sahib Singh Brar Advisor, Saroop Chand Press Secretary, Balwinder Singh Dhillon Joint Secretary, Randhir Singh Mehmi Joint Secretary, Karmadas Bawa Propaganda Secretary, Hardeep Singh Walia Propaganda Secretary Rasal Singh Member, Ravel Singh Member, Ranjit Singh Patti were elected as members. The election was held in a peaceful environment.
Speaking on this occasion, the state president Mahesh Lal Batalvi said that the present government is also backing away from its promises like the previous governments. The struggle will be intensified.
