
Fraud of 36 lakh rupees, sent to Dubai on the pretense of America
Patiala, December 13 - Police station Sadar Patiala has registered a case of fraud of 36 lakh rupees in the name of remittance abroad. Gursharan Singh of village Sangroli district Kaithal (Haryana) filed a report with the police that Gursevak Singh and Baldev Singh of village Panaudien and Judge Pal Singh of Dodara Sahib (Budhlada) conspired to deceive the son of Baljit Singh, who is a neighbor of the plaintiff.
Patiala, December 13 - Police station Sadar Patiala has registered a case of fraud of 36 lakh rupees in the name of remittance abroad. Gursharan Singh of village Sangroli district Kaithal (Haryana) filed a report with the police that Gursevak Singh and Baldev Singh of village Panaudien and Judge Pal Singh of Dodara Sahib (Budhlada) conspired to deceive the son of Baljit Singh, who is a neighbor of the plaintiff. On the pretense of sending Abhishek to America, they extorted 36 lakh rupees from him but sent the boy to Dubai instead of America. The plaintiff has submitted that Baljit Singh is his neighbor and Judge Pal Singh is his Gur Bhai. The accused came to the plaintiff's house and gave the impression of sending Abhishek to America. A case has been registered against the three accused under sections 406, 420, 120-B and 506 of the IPC for cheating Baljit Singh and his son.
Police Station Kotwali: Praveen Bansal of Trivaini Chowk Patiala has registered a case against a person named Vinay Mehta that he came to his shop and bought copies and registers worth Rs 1,52,429 but has not paid him yet. Called several times for payment but the accused kept calling.
Police Station Kotwali has also registered two more cases under NDPS. When SI Sandeep Kaur and the police party searched Rajan of Dheha Basti based on suspicion, 33 grams of drug powder was recovered from him.
Similarly, SI Puran Singh and the police party have recovered 5 grams of heroin from the possession of Ajay Kumar of Rowi Kutta Mohalla near Snoori Dada and registered a case against him under NDPS.
Women Police Station: Women Police Station has registered two cases of harassment for dowry. In the first case, Sonia of village Lubana Teku (station Sadar Nabha) in the district has alleged harassment for dowry against Rimpi Ram of village Malomajra, whom she married in 2010. In another similar case, Narinder Kaur of village Sunyarheri has registered a case against Kulwinder Singh of village Mughal Sarai (station Shambhu) that he used to harass her for dowry. Both of them got married in 2008.
