Patiala, December 5 - Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh has said that libraries will be established in four villages and sports nurseries in three villages under Patiala rural area. He was holding a joint meeting with representatives of villages and wards along with Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni and other officials of the district administration at the District Administrative Complex here today to review the ongoing and to be initiated development works in the villages of Patiala Rural Constituency.
Dr. Balbir Singh gave instructions to the concerned departments regarding the beautification of the Dhab of village Lubana Teku and the use of its water for irrigation in fields with drip irrigation. On this occasion, he said that infrastructure will be developed for yoga camp in village Jhil and Lung and five more multi-role mobile vans will soon be provided in the district for the purpose of providing better health services to the people.
During the meeting, a presentation was given regarding the innovative projects to be started by the officials of Health Department, Panchayat Department, Sports Department, District Employment and Business Bureau, Horticulture, Water and Land Conservation, Industry Department, in which the project will be started in the area. Other important points were discussed along with the benefits to be had. Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, there is no dearth of funds for development by the state government and every project that will benefit the people will be started on a priority basis. He said that the presentation regarding the new innovative projects given by the departments will be implemented soon. ADC Anuprita Johal, Civil Surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur, DSP Jaswinder Tiwana, DDPO Amandeep Kaur, Advocate Rahul Saini, Jasbir Gandhi, Colonel JV Singh, Balwinder Saini were present in the meeting.
