Patiala, December 5- Under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge -cum-Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority Rupinderjit Chahal and under the supervision of Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Mani Arora, Central Jail, Patiala and New District Jail. , District Legal Services Authority, Patiala organized a medical camp at Nabha today with the support of Health Department and Jail Administration. In these medical camps, 412 prisoners of Central Jail Patiala and 156 prisoners of New District Jail Nabha were medically examined by expert doctors. Necessary medicines were also given to them.
        On this occasion, Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Mani Arora interacted with the inmates lodged in the jail about their complaints/problems. The Superintendent of Jails, other officers and staff of Jails were directed to ensure timely redressal of their grievances/problems.
      Apart from this, Mrs. Mani Arora, CJM cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala organized legal awareness programs with the jail inmates of Central Jail, Patiala, New District Jail, Nabha and Open Air Jail, Nabha. These programs sensitized the jail inmates about plea bargaining, free legal aid and persons entitled to free legal aid.
     Mrs. Mani Arora said that the District Legal Services Authority, Patiala has also started meditation/yoga camps for the prisoners in the jails of District Patiala. Apart from this, a computer training course for women jail inmates has also been started at New District Jail, Nabha in collaboration with Play Ways Senior Secondary School, Patiala.
