The said leaders said that on July 2022, Satnam Daun, the complainant about this land, asked the Chief Minister of Punjab and other high officials to take this 2200 acres of land located in 31 villages into government possession and lease it to poor farmers and laborers for farming or any other way. Asked to use it for work. He said that by doing this, funds worth crores and billions of rupees can come into the treasury of the Punjab government, which are now going into the pockets of the land mafia. Along with this, they accused the sand mafia of making billions of rupees by mining sand-gravel on a large scale and selling the valuable assets of forests standing in those lands.

The leaders said that while acting on this complaint, the Punjab government had issued orders to take possession of the land by November 19, but these orders were not implemented. In this regard, the district administration issued a statement 2 days ago that out of this 2200 acres, 275 acres of land has been taken into possession.

He said that due to doubt on this claim of the district administration, they all started collecting evidence to know the truth, then it was found that the district administration in its records has 4 acres of village Jaraut, 59 acres of Jharmari, 157 acres of Samgauli, Pir 33 acres of Muchhalla, 13 acres of Fatehpur, 2 bighas and 10 acres of Rampur Baaal, 9 acres of Tethapur have been shown to have been taken over, while most of the land in these villages has been left uninhabited by the sand mafia by digging deep pits and someone on this land There was no occupation and when there was a clamor against the administration, the vacant land has been shown in the papers as being taken over by the government.

Comrade Balwinder Singh of Jaraut village, former sarpanch Gurdev Singh and farmers' leaders said that 271 acres of land in their village is in the possession of four to five rasukhdars, where the wheat crop is planted at present, the authorities have not taken possession of that land. took and never circled the village.
