Patiala, November 24 - District Planning Committee Chairman Jassi Sohianwala has said that with the funds of 988.50 lakhs released by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the work of building Panchayat Bhavan and libraries for 30 villages of Patiala district is going on fast.

Patiala, November 24 - District Planning Committee Chairman Jassi Sohianwala has said that with the funds of 988.50 lakhs released by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the work of building Panchayat Bhavan and libraries for 30 villages of Patiala district is going on fast.

Chairman Jassi Sohianwala said here today that as per the instructions of the Chief Minister, 30 villages of the district, Patti Jhugi, Bahadurpur Miranwala, Bhagwanpur Jattan, Bhunnarheri, Balbera, Daun Kalan (Halka Sanur), Dhabi Gujran, Teipur, Hariau Khurd, Shatrana, Kakrala Bhaika ) An amount of Rs.317.82 lakhs has been received at the District Planning Committee, Patiala for the construction of Panchayat Bhavan, books and racks for the five assembly constituencies of Ramgarh Bauran, Jindalpur, Resal, Kakrala (Halaka Nabha). He further informed that the construction to be done with an amount of 540 lakh rupees will be done from MNREGA and 130.68 lakh rupees will be spent from panchayat funds. These libraries will be made and handed over to the people of the whole constituency so that in future children can be made aware of our history. He said that the Punjab government is making great efforts in various fields to make the people of the state stand on their own feet so that Punjab can be made a prosperous and colorful Punjab.
