
Order of total ban on sale, stocking and use of China dore
Patiala, November 21 - Additional District Magistrate, Patiala, Anupreeta Johal, in exercise of her powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, prohibited the sale, storage and use of dore made of synthetic/plastic/harmful materials (China dore) within District Patiala.

A complete prohibition order has been issued. These orders will continue till 20 May 2024.
According to the orders, it has been brought to notice through the Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Government of Punjab, that China dore used in large quantities for flying kites/dore are made of synthetic/plastic and are very strong, indestructible. And is unbreakable. By using this dore, there are incidents of cutting hands/fingers, cutting throats and ears of bicycle and scooter/motorcycle drivers and in such a situation there is fear of accidents. Apart from this, the environment is also polluted with the stench due to the death of the birds trapped in the China dore and hanging on the trees.
