The letter states that according to the judgment of the Green Tribunal and the Hon'ble Court, the government does not provide Rs 100 per quintal bonus or stubble management compensation or any financial assistance to the farmers.

Farmer leaders said that majority of Punjab are small farmers and small farmers have small tractors. These farmers can neither buy nor operate large stubble management machines. They can only hire it while the government only helps on the cost of the machinery.

He said that small farmers cannot afford such expenses. Apart from this, despite depositing money with the government to buy this machinery by the cooperative societies, the machinery was not provided to them. He said that due to the floods, the land of the farmers was also destroyed and in the Derabsi Lalru area of Mohali district, the land along with the crops of many villages were washed away and the farmers were completely ruined. The leaders said that the government was saying that it would give compensation for dead chickens and goats, but the farmers are getting compensation for only five acres at the rate of Rs 6800 per acre. At least the owners of parched lands who cannot even grow wheat crops should be given more compensation so that the farmers can rebuild their lives and improve the land.

The demand letter has said that when the government itself has failed in its efforts, why are the farmers being harassed. In the letter, it has been demanded that the leaflets, fines and red entries made on the farmers should be returned. It has been said in the letter that despite knowing all this, if the government does not stop harassing the farmers, the United Kisan Morcha, Kisan Union Sidhupur and 18 Kisan Unions of North India will be forced to struggle against the government, which is the responsibility of the government. will be
