Patiala, November 17 - Under the direction of District Election Officer Patiala from the District Sweep Team, a special program on 'My Vote Mera Adhikar' was held today at Government Industrial Training Patiala. Savinder Singh Rekhi District Sweep was organized under the leadership of Nodal Officer and Principal Balwinder Singh. Dr. Savinder Singh Rekhi in his address said that every citizen should contribute to strengthening Indian democracy by using their right to vote under their responsibility and students should act as campus ambassadors of Election Commission in spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy.
About the sweep programme, he said that its aim is to encourage all eligible citizens to vote and take a fair and informed decision during the elections. He urged all eligible students of the institution to register their names as voters immediately through offline or online mode. Dr. Under the leadership of Prekhi, the students and staff of the institution also took the voter oath.
District Assistant Nodal Officer Mohit Kaushal, Institute Nodal Officer Sweep Jagdeep Joshi from ITI Patiala, Sanjay Dhir, Sukhwant Singh, Miharban Singh, Vinay Kumar, Munish Kumar, Dalbir Singh and students participated in this camp with great enthusiasm.
