Una, January 6. Under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), a loan day was organized at DRDA Hall Una on Monday, which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal. 50 self-help groups of the district registered under NRLM participated in this loan day. During this, the Deputy Commissioner provided loan sanction letters worth about 85 lakh rupees to the present self-help groups. Apart from this, the Deputy Commissioner also honored the banks, block development officers and community resource persons doing excellent work under NRLM by giving them mementoes and certificates.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that the government is providing loans to self-help groups at affordable rates for self-employment so that the economy of women associated with self-help groups can be strengthened. The government has given the target of approving loans of Rs 19 crore to Una district for the year 2024-25, out of which loans up to Rs 10 crore have been approved to self-help groups so far. Una district has been ranked first in the entire state in ensuring approval of loans to self-help groups. The Deputy Commissioner directed the community resource persons to go to the field and provide loans to as many self-help groups as possible so that the target set by the government can be achieved in time.
Let us tell you, as per the guidelines issued by the government, a loan campaign was run from 10 to 25 December to provide bank loans to self-help groups. Under this campaign, 337 applications were received from the district through self-help groups, to which an amount of about Rs 5 crore will be sanctioned.
On this occasion, BDO Una KL Verma, BDO Haroli Virendra Kumar, BDO Gagret Surendra Jetley, BDO Bangana Sushil Kumar, LDM Una Lahri Mal, PNB Manager Haroli Abhinav Srivastava, DPM Jyoti Sharma and other dignitaries were present.
