Garhshankar 03 November- Prominent children's literature writer Baljinder Mann was elected as the president of the Mahilpur unit of Progressive Writers Sangh, a national level organization of writers with creative thinking. Young poet Jeevan Chandeli has become general secretary with them. Giving this information here today, Professor Surjit Judge, president of Punjab State Progressive Writing Association, said that all office bearers of Mahilpur unit have been unanimously elected in the presence of office bearers of the district unit. Sarabjit Singh was elected Vice President, Secretary Lakhwinder Brahmapuri, Finance Secretary Paramjit Katab and Advisor Babbu Mahalpuri were elected. Parminder Bihra, Arpana Singh, Gurminder Sippy and Jitinder Bathulla were included in the executive members. District President Professor Baldev Singh Balli and General Secretary Prof. Navtej Gardiwala said that we have to make efforts to provide the right direction to as many young writers as possible. On this occasion, eminent poet Dr. Shamsher Mohi was highly present. Thanking everyone, Baljinder Mann said that they will make strenuous efforts to activate the new Paneeri in the literary field and restore human values.
