SAS Nagar, October 7 (SAB) Politics has started over the poor condition of the local Sector 70 Special Park (which also has a musical fountain). In this regard, the councilor of the ward, Baljinder Kaur Dhaliwal, has claimed that the residents are being misled by some persons regarding the development works of this park, while the tender for the repair work of the fountain of this park has already been called (which will be opened next week) and an estimate of Rs 35 lakh has been prepared for the construction of footpaths, grills and weather shelters in the park for which tenders are to be opened on Monday.
It is to be mentioned here that this morning the councilor of Sector 70 (Ward No. 34) Sukhdev Singh Patwari informed the residents of Sector 70 on social media that to overcome the deficiencies of the two special parks in Sector 70, the Constituency MLA Sh. Kulwant Singh will visit the Musical Fountain Neighborhood Park on October 8 and listen to people's views. On this occasion, he invited the residents to share a cup of tea with the MLA, after which Balraj Kaur Dhaliwal, Councilor of Ward No. 9, responded without naming Councilor Sukhdev Singh Patwari and said that some people are not interested in the development of the park. They are misleading the residents while the estimates for the works of this park have already been passed, the work of which is to be started soon.
He has said on social media that some time ago the mayor of the municipal corporation Mr. Amarjit Singh Jiti Sidhu and others visited the park and reviewed the works to be done in the park, after which estimates were made for the works of this park. He said that now when this work is going to start, some people are misleading people (to shine their politics).
In the coming days, there is no denying the possibility that both parties will intensify their rhetoric against each other regarding the development works of these parks, and in the meantime, the politics regarding the park works is bound to rage even more.
