Amritsar- The general meeting of the party's state delegates has been convened by the Shiromani Akali Dal President Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh, formed by the recruitment committee formed by Sri Akal Takht, on September 6 at Sri Anandpur Sahib. A statement issued by the head office informed that while state delegates from all over Punjab will participate in this meeting, delegates from other states will also participate.
It is noteworthy that in the general meeting called on August 11 of this month, the election of the Shiromani Akali Dal President along with the Chairperson of the Panthic Council was held unanimously. During the proceedings of the meeting, all the powers to strengthen the party's organizational structure were handed over to the party president, but the party president wants that the election of the working committee and some other important decisions should be taken in the general state delegate meeting as per the party's constitution.
Therefore, a State General Delegates Meeting is being called on September 6 to know the opinion of all the delegates who filled membership for the party by going door to door from across the state.
Party President Giani Harpreet Singh said that every possible effort will be made to strengthen the democratic process and principles within the party.
