This can be estimated from the condition of Kharar model senior secondary school, where about 2400 children study and in this school only two washrooms have been built for the children studying from primary to secondary school. Due to the fact that the post of cleaning lady is not even approved for cleaning these washrooms, there is always a feeling of dirt here.

Due to the large number of children in the school and the lack of washrooms, children have to wait for their turn to go to the bathroom for a long time, due to which sometimes their health also deteriorates and due to the long time taken, studies are also damaged.
About 25 JBT posts of primary teachers (according to the number of children) are vacant in this nursery to twelfth school and due to this the master cadre teachers of the school have to teach the primary children. Not only here but in this school running in two shifts, 50-55 children have to be accommodated in small rooms even in hot summer season.
It is to be mentioned here that some time ago Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains came to inspect this school and the teachers of the school also told him about these problems, but there has been no improvement so far.
Government Teachers Union Punjab District Mohali President Surjit Singh Mohali and General Secretary Ravinder Singh Pappi Sidhu said that the higher authorities are already aware of the shortages in this school but no action has been taken yet. The leaders said that education reform boards only appear on the walls in the form of advertisements while ground realities are something else. They demanded that according to the number of children in the school, the necessary grant for at least twenty toilets should be released immediately, until permanent toilets are constructed, temporary toilets should be arranged. Along with this, he demanded that teachers should be sent to all the vacant posts of primary cadre and other problems of the school should be solved on priority basis.
