
Municipal Corporation Mohali Achieves Record Rs 20 Crore Collection under OTS Scheme
SAS Nagar, August 1, 2025: In a landmark achievement, the Municipal Corporation (MC) Mohali has successfully collected approximately Rs 20 crore under the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme of Property Tax Dues, announced by the Punjab Government. This milestone was reached by the deadline of July 31, 2025.
SAS Nagar, August 1, 2025: In a landmark achievement, the Municipal Corporation (MC) Mohali has successfully collected approximately Rs 20 crore under the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme of Property Tax Dues, announced by the Punjab Government. This milestone was reached by the deadline of July 31, 2025.
Divulging the details, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Mohali, Parminder Pal Singh Sandhu said that the revenue generated from the property tax dues is three fold more than the previous year's collection.
Dr. Sanjeev Kamboj, Medical Officer of Health and Incharge of the Property Tax Branch of MC Mohali added that the extraordinary collection effort was the result of the tireless dedication of the MC staff, who worked late into the night — till 12 midnight on the last two days — to ensure timely processing and support for taxpayers. Their dedication played a pivotal role in this successful campaign, further added.
Notably, all renowned commercial property owners in Mohali came forward to settle their outstanding dues, showcasing responsible citizenship and a strong response to the government’s amnesty initiative.
The Commissioner further stated that the Municipal Corporation expresses sincere gratitude to its hardworking staff and the cooperative public for making this drive a resounding success. Citizens are encouraged to continue supporting such efforts for the overall development of the city. He also reaffirmed the commitment of MC Mohali to resolving all major issues faced by city residents.
