Chandigarh- Chandigarh Unit of Punjab Police Pensioners Welfare Association celebrated Van Mahotsav on Wednesday, 30.07.2025 at Senior Secondary and Primary School Gege Mazra, District SAS Nagar. President Mr. Darshan Kumar Bagga said that many trees were cut for road construction, but they were not planted.
We have taken the initiative to plant these trees. Association Secretary Mr. Ramesh Sharma motivated the children to plant one sapling each on their birthday. Forum Secretary Mr. Deepak Rai Rikhi told the children that trees are essential for humanity as they exist.
Sanstha Senior Vice President Mrs. Ranbir Kaur, General Secretary Mr. Kuldeep Singh Arora, Vice President Mr. Jaswant Singh and other members were also present. Senior Secondary School Principal Mrs. Harinder Kaur apprised the children about the objective of celebrating Van Mahotsav. Primary School Principal Mr. Jaspal Singh also told the children about the benefits of trees.
