District Red Cross Society Una distributed 1600 fruit plants in a unique initiative of environmental conservation.

Una, July 25- Under the aegis of District Red Cross Society Una, a distribution and plantation program of fruit plants was organized in the Deputy Commissioner's office premises today. The program was presided over by Renu Sherawat, wife of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal and President of Hospital Welfare Section of District Red Cross Society. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also specially participated in the program and gave the message of environmental conservation.

Una, July 25- Under the aegis of District Red Cross Society Una, a distribution and plantation program of fruit plants was organized in the Deputy Commissioner's office premises today. The program was presided over by Renu Sherawat, wife of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal and President of Hospital Welfare Section of District Red Cross Society. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also specially participated in the program and gave the message of environmental conservation.
In the program, a total of 1600 fruit plants of useful species like lemon, orange, amla, malta, behada, kachnar and sweet lemon were distributed to Anganwadi workers, local citizens and voluntary organizations.
On this occasion, Renu Sherawat, while planting a red fruiteria plant, appealed to the people present that monsoon season is the best time for plantation, in such a situation, every person should plant as many plants as possible and also take responsibility for their conservation, so that future generations can get a clean, green and balanced environment.
At the same time, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal also appealed to the citizens to take personal initiative to deal with environmental challenges. He said that planting trees is not just a task, but it is our duty towards future generations. He called for making the 'one person, one plant' resolution a mass movement in this direction.
ASP Surendra Sharma, CPO Sanjay Sankhyan, DPO Narendra Kumar, Range Officer Ankush Singh along with other officers, employees and volunteers were present in the program.
