Patiala- In view of the increasing natural and human disasters, wars, electricity, gases, petroleum, fire, traffic accidents and incidents like sudden heart attack, cardiac arrest, fainting, shock, it is extremely necessary for every student, citizen and employee to get training in disaster management, civil defense, first aid, fire safety so that the victims can be saved from death and they can be properly taken to the hospital.
Patiala- In view of the increasing natural and human disasters, wars, electricity, gases, petroleum, fire, traffic accidents and incidents like sudden heart attack, cardiac arrest, fainting, shock, it is extremely necessary for every student, citizen and employee to get training in disaster management, civil defense, first aid, fire safety so that the victims can be saved from death and they can be properly taken to the hospital.
These views were expressed by Mr. Praveen Kumar Gandhi, General Manager, National Small Industries Corporation, while explaining the importance of first aid training to the factory employees at Pro-Pack Pvt. Ltd. Focal Point.
On this occasion, Disaster Management, Civil Defence, First Aid, Fire Safety Instructor Mr. Kaka Ram Verma of Government of India and ASI Ram Saran of Punjab Police Traffic Education Cell conducted various practicals and imparted training on first aid for injured, unconscious, internal head injuries, heart attack, cardiac arrest, bone fractures, internal and external bleeding, unconscious victims, CPR, recovery position, ventilator artificial respiration, use of bandages.
They explained about gas leakage, electrical short circuit, causes of fire in vehicles, houses, factories, shops, types of fire and methods of water used for extinguishing fire, use of soil extinguishing and cylinders, methods of rescue and transport of victims.
Factory Plant Manager Rajesh Kapoor, Assistant Manager, Administrative Officer PP Singh expressed their gratitude and said that if such training exercises are organized twice a year for students, citizens and employees in the country and states, then thousands of lives can be saved during emergencies.
