Garhshankar August 31 (Manjinder Kumar Pansara) Vigilance Department arrested Axion Sartaj Singh Randhawa Mining Department Hoshiarpur and SDO Harjinder Singh Dasuha on charges of accepting bribe of Rs.5,00,000/-. While giving information to the media, the Vigilance Bureau officer said that today on 31 August 2023, while acting on the complaint of the complainant Jaspreet Singh son of Narinder Singh, resident of Dolan Tehsil Jagraon District Ludhiana, Vigilance Bureau, Unit Hoshiarpur, Axion Sartaj Singh Randhawa Mining Department Hoshiarpur and Harjinder. Singh SDO Mining Department, Dasuha District Hoshiarpur has been arrested red-handed for accepting a bribe of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh) from Jaspreet Singh son of Narinder Singh Giving detailed information regarding this matter, the officer of Vigilance Bureau said that the complainant Jaspreet Singh works as a site controller in Regar Enterprises. The complainant's company has taken the contract for earthing of Paso Mukerian/Talwara railway line from Kalpatru Company. Official fee of Rs 41,10,117/- for lifting soil from village Ghagwal tehsil Dasuha district Hoshiarpur by the complainant's company through Kalpatru company. That land comes under Section 4 and 5 of the Forest Department, due to which they could not take the soil from village Ghagwal, so they gave an application in March 2013 to transfer their royalty to the Mining Department. On which the senior officer of the complainant, Jatinder Singh, in this regard, Sartaj Singh Randhawa Axion Mining Department Hoshiarpur and Harjinder Singh SDO Mining Department Dasuha District Hoshiarpur went to the office of Axion Sartaj Singh Randhawa to the office of Axion Sartaj Singh Randhawa. Said that Royalty cannot be transferred, after begging by Jitinder Singh, Sartaj Singh Randhawa Axion said that SDO Harjinder Singh will talk to you after a few days. Singh called to his office at Dasuha and said that Sartaj Singh Randhawa of Axion has asked for Rs 12,00,000/- (twelve lakh rupees) to transfer his royalty. So Jatinder Singh agreed to do the work for SDO Harjinder Singh after taking 8,00,000/- rupees (eight lakh rupees). He said that while acting on the complaint of complainant Jaspreet Singh son of Narinder Singh resident of Dolan Tehsil Jagraon District Ludhiana Mr. Manish Kumar Deputy Captain Police Vigilance Bureau Unit Hoshiarpur Jahe Surveillance Inspector Lakhwinder Singh along with the Vigilance Bureau team along with official shadow witness and official witness. A ramp was installed along with it. Inspector Lakhwinder Singh, Vigilance Bureau Unit Hoshiarpur to Sartaj Singh Randhawa Axion Mining Department Hoshiarpur and Harjinder Singh SDO Mining Department, Dasuha District Hoshiarpur bribe of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs) from complainant Jaspreet Singh son of Narinder Singh. The takers were arrested red-handed. And the bribe money was recovered by chance. In this regard dated August 31 under section 7 P.C Act, 1988 as amended by PC. (Amendment) Act, 2018, and Section 34 of the IPC was registered at the Vigilance Bureau Jalandhar Range. He informed that Sartaj Singh Randhawa Axion and Harjinder Singh SDO will be presented in the honorable court tomorrow on 01 September 2023 and will be remanded. Further investigation is ongoing.
