Patiala 21 July- Class IV employees of government and semi-government departments took out a huge rally and march in memory of their late colleague Ranbir Dhillon. This rally was organized in front of the main gate of Bhakra Main Division of Water Resources Department. From where hundreds of Class IV employees (Beldars) have been transferred to far-flung areas by the Punjab Government.
This rally was organized to get these transfers reversed. On this occasion, employee leaders Darshan Singh Lubana, Jagmohan Nolkha, Suraj Pal Yadav, Narang Singh, Pritam Chand Thakur and Balbir Singh announced that a rally will be organized in Lehragaga, the constituency of Water Resources Minister Mr. Barinder Goyal, on August 7 to get the transfers reversed and to press for their demands.
A massive protest march was taken out from the Water Resources Office to the Forest Department Office alleging that the department has ignored senior employees in regularizing the daily wage employees of the forest departments and nepotism has been given priority in this. Against this, the organization will resume its postponed struggle at Van Bhawan Mohali after gathering all the facts.
Today's gathering paid tribute to the founder of the Karamchari Andolan, late Ranbir Singh Dhillon on his first death anniversary. On the occasion, the leaders announced that they will take out a flag march after observing a hunger strike at the district headquarters on August 15 to regularize the employees-pensioners and casual workers and send a memorandum of demands to the Chief Minister, Finance Minister and Chief Secretary.
