I have come to support the progressive initiatives of the Chief Minister - Governor-designate Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh.

Chandigarh, July 19 - Haryana Governor-designate Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh and his wife Smt. Mitra Ghosh reached Haryana Raj Bhavan today. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini and his cabinet colleagues welcomed them.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Ghosh said that he has come from West Bengal to support and encourage the progressive initiatives of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini. He said that he will work together with the Chief Minister for the welfare of the poor and deprived sections of the society in Haryana.
He further said that it is also his important responsibility to listen to the opposition patiently and understand their views and perspectives. He said that he will ensure that the Chief Minister is made aware of the views of the opposition.
Earlier, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini along with his cabinet colleagues welcomed the Governor-designate Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh at the Haryana Raj Bhavan.
On this occasion, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Harvinder Kalyan, Development and Panchayat Minister Shri Krishan Lal Panwar, Education Minister Shri Mahipal Dhanda, Urban Local Government Minister Shri Vipul Goyal, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana, Public Health Engineering Minister Shri Ranbir Gangwa, Minister of State for Sports Shri Gaurav Gautam, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Shri Rajesh Nagar, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi and other senior officials of the state government were also present.
It is worth mentioning that the Central Government has recently appointed Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh as the Governor of Haryana after the completion of the term of Shri Bandaru Dattatreya.
