
Mumbai: Bomb threat at Bombay Stock Exchange building.
Mumbai, July 15- A bomb threat email was received at the famous Bombay Stock Exchange building in south Mumbai. Police officials said on Monday that the threat turned out to be a rumour after checking the building. An official said that a Bombay Stock Exchange employee received the email on Sunday, in which the name of a political leader from South India was mentioned.

An official said that a Bombay Stock Exchange employee received the email on Sunday, in which the name of a political leader from South India was mentioned.
The email claimed that four RDX IEDs have been planted in the Bombay Stock Exchange building and warned of an explosion at around 3 pm on Monday.
The Bombay Stock Exchange employee alerted the stock exchange officials who then contacted the Mumbai Police. The official said that a team of Mumbai Police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) reached the Bombay Stock Exchange building and conducted a search, in which nothing suspicious was found.
The police have registered a case against an unknown person and efforts are on to trace the sender of the email. It is worth mentioning that the Bombay Stock Exchange building was one of the targets during the 1993 serial bomb blasts.
