Hoshiarpur- Rotary Club Hoshiarpur Mid Town took another important initiative in the field of social service and did inspiring work for the service of humanity under the "Monthly Ration Distribution Project" under Annapurna Week. On this occasion, the club contributed about two quintals of ration material at Dhan Guru Ramdas Ji Langar Sewa, Purhiran.
The aim of this service is to provide food to the needy people so that no person from any class sleeps hungry. The ration material included daily essentials like pulses, salt, flour, sugar, oil, tea leaves etc. This initiative shows the commitment of the club towards social service.
On this occasion, Rotarian Avtar Singh, President of the club, said that the Rotary Club is not limited to social functions only, but it has become a symbol of service, support and fellowship. He said that “Our effort is to provide assistance to the weaker sections of the society in some way or the other every month.”
This program, full of the spirit of service to the society, was not only inspiring, but also shows that positive change can be brought about in the society with joint efforts. This initiative of the Rotary Club will also become an example for other social organizations in the future.
In this service work, many Rotarian members including Secretary Inderpal Singh Sachdeva, Manoj Ohri, DP Kathuria, Rajnish Kumar Guliani, Kuljit Singh Saini, Jaswant Singh Bhogal, Sandeep Sharma, Parveen Pabbi, Rohit Chopra, Parveen Paliyal, Jagmeet Singh Sethi, Rajesh Maini, Anu Maini, Babli Pabbi, Kamaljit Kaur, Rajwinder Kaur were present and played an active role in the service work.
