Patiala, July 08- Today, like every month, a huge gathering of retired employees of PRTC Retired Workers Community Union (ETC) was held at the old bus stand of Patiala under the chairmanship of Shri Uttam Singh Bagdi, Ram Saroop Aggarwal and Kuldeep Singh Grewal. On this occasion, the patron of the organization, Shri Nirmal Singh Dhaliwal was present to address the gathering.
While addressing this rally of retired employees, Nirmal Singh Dhaliwal said about the policies and attitude of the Punjab Government, Central Government and PRTC Management that today, whether it is the Central Government or the Punjab Government, both are implementing anti-public sector, anti-labor policies and are bent on destroying government and semi-government public sector institutions. They are weakening and ruining these institutions by not providing financial and policy support.
The fact that the Mann government has not started a single new bus in PRTC for the last four years makes it clear that the private bus mafia is getting all kinds of help from the government, due to which new buses are not being given. The direct benefit of which is going to the private bus mafia. The Punjab government should not have helped PRTC, but instead, the dues of more than Rs 600 crore for free travel of women are not being paid.
The result of which is that the pension and salary of last month was received on June 28, medical bills are not being paid, retirement dues are not being paid and despite the government's order, the pay commission dues are not being paid. This month salary and pension have not been paid yet. The legally dues of retired employees and existing employees of Rs 170 crore are not being paid. Retired employees are not being given LTC illegally.
Retirement dues are not being paid, gratuity etc. are not being paid for more than a year. Addressing the rally, Uttam Singh Bagri, Sukhdev Ram Sukhi and Ram Saroop Aggarwal warned the management that if this continues, the workers will have no option but to fight a tough battle.
