Chandigarh, July 7 - Central agencies have prepared to bring Khalistani terrorist Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasia to India. According to sources, the central agencies are in touch with American agencies.
Pasia, who belongs to Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), was arrested in the US on April 17 this year. If sources are to be believed, the Punjab Police is in touch with the American central agencies to bring Pasia back to India.
The Punjab Police had submitted a formal request to the Home Ministry for Pasia's extradition. Pasia is accused of plotting at least 14 grenade attacks in Punjab, including targeting police stations, religious places and houses of public figures.
Pasia is currently in the custody of American agencies in Sacramento, California. It is worth noting that Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasia and Gurpreet alias Gopi, affiliated with Babbar Khalsa International, had claimed responsibility for the grenade attack on the Ghaniyya K Bangar police station in Batala in December last year in a post on social media. The National Investigation Agency has filed a chargesheet against seven Babbar Khalsa International terrorists, including Pasia, under sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosive Substances Act for their role in conspiring and carrying out the attack.
