‘Used PET Bottle-Free Puri Rath Yatra 2025’ Launched

Chandigarh: As a part of its collective effort towards waste management, Coca-Cola India Foundation Anandana launched the ‘Used PET Bottle-Free Puri Rath Yatra 2025’ initiative in Puri, Odisha. The initiative is in collaboration with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), Puri Municipal Corporation, District Administration (Puri), Odisha Development Management Programme (ODMP) and Y4D Foundation.

Chandigarh: As a part of its collective effort towards waste management, Coca-Cola India Foundation Anandana launched the ‘Used PET Bottle-Free Puri Rath Yatra 2025’ initiative in Puri, Odisha. The initiative is in collaboration with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), Puri Municipal Corporation, District Administration (Puri), Odisha Development Management Programme (ODMP) and Y4D Foundation.
The initiative was kicked off with a PET bottle clean-up drive from Digabareni Square to Swargadwar. Hon’ble Minister for Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Govt of Odisha, Shri Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, former Member of Odisha Legislative Assembly, Jayant Kumar Sarangi and Executive Officer, Puri Municipal Corporation, Shri Abhimanyu Behera were present during the event.
Around 200 volunteers participated in the Maidan Saaf Abhiyan. They collected used PET bottles and raised awareness among visitors about responsible waste management practices. Over 200 PET collection bins were installed at high-traffic locations in the city. In addition, 10 help desks were set up at strategic locations where trained vendors were deployed. They provided information to visitors about eco-friendly disposal practices.

We see this as an opportunity to contribute to a larger cause and are doing it with full dedication. Integrating the Maidan Saaf Abhiyan with this initiative shows how visitors can be inspired to adopt eco-friendly processes with the help of innovative recycling solutions.”
