CISF aims to strengthen partnership with state fire services - Commandant Lalit Panwar.

Chandigarh, June 27 - The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) deployed at the Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat Chandigarh unit today trained its personnel in operation of fire extinguishers and fire control during disasters under its nationwide fire test.

Chandigarh, June 27 - The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) deployed at the Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat Chandigarh unit today trained its personnel in operation of fire extinguishers and fire control during disasters under its nationwide fire test.
Addressing the training program on this occasion, the Commandant of the unit, Mr. Lalit Panwar, said that CISF is the only force among the central armed forces to have a dedicated fire fighting wing. He said that this wing was established in 2023 and the responsibility of training fire personnel from 100 cities of the country has also been given to CISF.
He said that by the year 2025, CISF aims to further strengthen its partnership with the state fire services. This will strengthen the overall urban security and infrastructure of the country. CISF is committed to protecting the lives of people and the property of the country in line with the disaster preparedness vision of the Government of India.
