Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, June 12: Today, the closing ceremony of Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan organized by KVK Mohali in collaboration with Chandigarh University, Gharuan, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, SAS Nagar was organized at Chandigarh University, Gharuan.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, June 12: Today, the closing ceremony of Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan organized by KVK Mohali in collaboration with Chandigarh University, Gharuan, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, SAS Nagar was organized at Chandigarh University, Gharuan.
The Chief Guest of this program was Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Punjab S. Gurmeet Singh Khuria, Special Guest Dr. Ravinder Singh Grewal, Director Extension Education, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana and Dr. Jaswant Singh Director, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Punjab.
During this program, S. Khuria motivated the farmers to diversify their farming as well as to raise animals like cow, buffalo, goat, poultry etc. Dr. R.S. Grewal told about the training courses and other facilities provided by Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana.
Dr. Jaswant Singh informed the farmers about the schemes of the government. On this occasion, Kisan Vaigyanik Charcha was organized.
Dr. Balbir Singh Khara gave information about organic farming, natural farming and agricultural diversification. During this program, progressive farmer brothers and sisters of the area were honored. Dr. Gurshminder Singh, Assistant Dean Science conducted the stage.
Apart from this program, awareness camps were also organized by the team of Krishi Vigyan Kendra in villages Hasanpur, Rauda, ??Kheda, Manakpur Sharif and Salempur Kalan by Dr. Parul Gupta, Dr. Harmeet Kaur, Dr. Munish Sharma, Dr. Gulgul Singh and Dr. Subhash Chandra.
