Hoshiarpur- General Secretary of Arjan Singh Gargajj Foundation, the operating organization of Nawan Zamana newspaper, printer and publisher of Nawan Zamana newspaper, writer, flag bearer of Marxist scientific ideology Advocate Gurmeet Singh Shugli and the killing of Sudhakar, a central committee member of CPI (Maoist) in an alleged police encounter, and sharing the deep sorrow with their families, relatives and comrades, and taking pride in their contribution to society, the Desh Bhagat Memorial Committee held a condolence meeting and paid tribute to them.
Apart from the field of journalism, Advocate Gurmeet Shugli continued to actively participate in his party CPI. From student life to colleges and universities, where he was trying to connect students with secular, revolutionary democratic and Marxist thought, he was also closely associated with the Ghadri Babas' fair and other activities held in the Desh Bhagat Memorial Hall. He passed away due to a heart attack in America with his son Ramanjit Singh Mand. His other son Advocate Rajinder Singh Mand is a member of the Desh Bhagat Memorial Committee.
In this way, the killing of Lakshmi Narasimhachalam alias Sudhakar, a central committee member of the CPI (Maoist) active for half a century, in a fake police encounter in Bastar district, led to sharp criticism of the Modi government's policy of encircling and killing communists. The Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee has said that during the freedom struggle, every effort was made to suppress the struggle of the tribals and freedom fighters like Virsa Munda had to be given a face-lift.
