Cabinet Minister Arora arrived at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology to felicitate the winners of the 'Future Tycoons-Startup Challenge-2' competition, the first and exclusive initiative from across the country organized by the Patiala District Administration in collaboration with Startup Punjab.
Aman Arora praised the 'Future Tycoons-Startup Challenge-2' organized by the Patiala District Administration under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni with the support of Startup Punjab through the District Employment and Business Bureau and said that by holding the arm of new entrepreneurs for them. Aman Arora further said that there are many ideas in the minds of the people of Punjab but there is a need to find them and provide suitable opportunities to the skilled ones and a step has been taken in this direction with the Future Tycoon initiative. He said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is encouraging self-employment and startups on a large scale, under this, loan facilities, NOCs and other technical assistance are being provided to the skilled workers to start their own employment and business. assistance etc. are being provided under one roof.
Congratulating the participants in the Future Tycoon competition, the Cabinet Minister said that all the entrepreneurs who came with their new ideas in the Future Tycoons Startup Challenge have come forward one by one and they will be given all possible support by the government.
Principal Secretary of Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Department Jaspreet Talwar congratulated the district administration team. Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni said that the second Future Tycoon competition has received overwhelming response and the number has now increased from 400 to 1100.
Sakshi Sahni said that the 4 winners will be provided assistance and technical guidance by angel investors, including giving a cash award of Rs 50,000 each in addition to loan subsidy, government assistance. He said that a total of 1109 participants applied in the 'Future Entrepreneur-2: Start-up Challenge' project, of which 149 were women, 10 were disabled, 860 were students and 87 in the open category had given their future plans and newBusiness ideas were presented, from which 22 new concepts were selected for the grand finale, who presented their presentations to the jury.
