The Food Safety Team of the Health Department collected 8 samples of Pan-Masala and alcoholic beverages from various restaurants and beer bars.

Hoshiarpur- As per the orders of the Honorable Commissioner Food and Drug Administration Punjab Mr. Dilraj Singh IAS and Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra and as per the guidelines of District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia, the Food Safety Teams of the Health Department are making every possible effort to provide quality food to the people.

Under this, Food Safety Officer Mr. Vivek Kumar and his team checked various restaurants and beer bars in Hoshiarpur city and Food Safety Officer Mr. Abhinav Kumar checked in Mahilpur and Garhshankar and collected 8 samples of Pan-Masala and alcoholic beverages.
Giving information about this, Food Safety Officer Mr. Vivek Kumar and Abhinav Kumar said that the samples of Pan-Masala and alcoholic beverages collected during the checking of these restaurants and beer bars have been sent for lab test and further action will be taken only after the report comes. He said that during this time, the owners of restaurants and beer bars were asked to keep the food preparation area clean and to keep the food as per FSSAI standards.
They were asked to keep vegetarian and non-vegetarian food separately. They were also encouraged to always follow good hygiene rules. He said that strict action will be taken against those who do not take care of the quality of food and adulterate it.
